Jeremy's Tribute Video

In loving memory

This is an extremely difficult post for me to write as Chris and I had a dear friend pass away last Tuesday from a motorcycle accident. This last week has been extremely difficult as we grieve over a life that was taken from us way too soon. Jeremy was a guy that lived life to it's fullest and always had a smile on his face while doing so.  He loved our God with all of his heart and was an obedient Christ follower. Knowing that he is in heaven brings comfort to us, but our hearts still ache with knowing that we will not see his face again here on this earth. Jeremy and I were in the same class at Landmark, and Chris and Jeremy were on the same wrestling team. We both have very fond memories of Jeremy that will never be forgotten. The funeral service was this past weekend in Georgia and we were among HUNDREDS who were there to support his family and to say goodbye to a friend. The service was difficult for us all, but what a beautiful celebration of Jeremy's life. He impacted so many people in his short 27 years here on earth and I know that God will use this to work a miracle in someone's life. We love and miss him but know that we will see him again one day. We look forward to him greeting us at Heaven's gate one day. Until then, it is our desire to live life like Jeremy did and that when it is our time to go, we will leave a legacy just like he did. We did see several old high school friends and it was quite the reuninon- we only wish it had been under different circumstances. We know that Jeremy was smiling down on us and enjoying his view with God at his side. What an incredible picture I've had in my mind of Jeremy entering into heaven and running around with so much excitement as he explored his new home with our Heavenly Father. I can see his grin now. I'm not sure if I'll ever stop thinking about Jeremy.... I will be driving down the road and he will come to mind and I just start crying. Of course, I'm more sad for myself, because I know he would never want to be back here after all that he is experiencing with our Lord in Heaven. Jeremy- you were a great friend to us all and you impacted us more than you will ever know. Thank you for living life to it's fullest!  We love you!

Here are just a few pictures that we have with Jeremy. I can't wait to go through all of the others!

26 Weeks!!!

Avery wanted in on the belly picture this time!

Below are belly pics from my pregnancy with Avery.....
26 weeks 2 days with Avery

26 weeks 2 days with Avery
I seriously cannot believe how quickly this pregnancy is going by compared to the first! I guess when you're chasing a one year old around all day you don't really have a lot of time to sit and think about the pregnancy like you do when it's your first. People can definitely tell that I'm pregnant now! This past weekend we flew up to Baltimore and multiple times a day a stranger would make a comment about me having "one in the oven". It's so fun when you finally reach that point where people aren't afraid to say something! haha! Everyone keeps asking how I'm feeling these days, and honestly, I am feeling great! I'm way past the sickness and I'm not so large that I'm uncomfortable... yet. I am pretty exhausted by the end of the day, but that's to be expected. I'm still able to exercise and try to do so 3-4 times a week. Of course, my lungs are so squished that it's getting a little harder. I still take kick boxing, body rip and an abs class at the gym and now that it's nice and warm out, I've been trying to keep up with my running. Last week I ran 3 miles while pushing Avery in a stroller.... without stopping! I was pumped! Some exercises are getting pretty tough because baby K puts a lot of pressure on my lower abdomen, but I'm learning to modify when I need to. Chris and I are so excited about baby K's arrival and are trying to get things all set up for her. There really isn't much that needs to be done, but we will be buying a crib sometime in the next week or so and getting the same bedding that Avery has. I can't wait to get it all set up! It's crazy to think that she will be here in 14 (+/-) weeks! I go in for my glucose test tomorrow, so say a prayer that all is well!

Our first Rodeo

The first weekend of March, my "little" cousins, Daniel and David Archer, had a rodeo just outside of Dothan and Avery and I went to see them. It was a blast and Avery had such a great time seeing all of the horses and cattle.

PLAYROOM

Over the past few months it seems as though our house has been overtaken by toys. Our living room seemed to be the best play area for Avery and therefore we were always stepping over her toys and I felt like our house was always cluttered. We have a sun room/office that we NEVER use except for the few times a year that we have someone stay with us and so we thought it would make the most sense to turn it into a play room. BEST.IDEA.EVER. Over the last month we have consigned most of the furniture that was in that room and we have converted the space into an awesome play room for Avery. I feel like I have my living room back and love that Avery has a safe play space for all of her toys.

I thought I had a picture of the room before we converted it; but, I can't seem to find it anywhere!

The book shelf on the right was in Avery's room, but we moved it into the playroom to make room for baby K's crib in Avery's room....
