Maternity Pictures 2012

May 20th we went out to Freeport, FL for our maternity pictures. Our friend, Sarah, took the pictures and did a fantastic job! She also took Avery's one year pictures.... we really love her style! :) Avery was not in the mood for pictures that day, yet Sarah still managed to capture a few great ones with Avery. I was 35 weeks exactly!

I'm 35.5 weeks now and still feeling really great! About a week ago I started to reach the uncomfortable stage and definitely developed the "waddle" when I walk. I get up to pee about 4 times every night, but again, that is just God's amazing way of preparing me for those middle of the night feedings. We are really getting excited to meet baby K in 4-5 weeks. I think that having my shower a few weeks ago and going through all of the new clothes and baby items and putting them away really made this seem so much more real. There hasn't been much preparation this time around since the girls will only be 20 months apart, so having the shower definitely helped make this all the more real and exciting! Putting away those newborn diapers and clothes was so crazy to me, mostly because I can't really even remember Avery being that small once. It's so bitter-sweet how fast they grow up. I go back to the Dr. next week and then it's every week until baby K comes!!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!

Georgia baby shower- May 12, 2012

I had my first baby shower for sweet baby K on May 12th-- my 27th birthday! This shower was hosted by my sister and a dear family friend, Karen Grahl, in Georgia. Having lived in Georgia all of my life, it is only fitting to have a shower there for all of my Georgia family and friends to be a part of. It was a beautiful shower and one that I will forever cherish. So many of my family and friends were there to support me and my growing family and I am so blessed to have them all in my life.

My mom, Avery and I drove up to Georgia on Thursday, May 10th and on Friday, I was SO sick. I caught some virus that literally had me in bed or hugging the toilet all day long..... I couldn't believe the terrible timing of it all. Not to mention, being almost 34 weeks pregnant with a virus that doesn't allow you to keep anything in your system is absolutely terrible. I ended up in the urgent care Friday evening getting a liter of fluids and some finagrin. I slept the rest of the night and by Saturday morning (shower day) I was feeling like a new woman!! I am so glad I was feeling better for my shower; though unfortunately, I got my sister, Brock, Cheryl and Mrs. Karen sick. I feel terrible about that!

Baby K was showered with so many wonderful gifts at our first shower. Thank you all for your love and support- it means more to me than you will ever know.
