Valentin Imperial Maya- Cancun

On August 5th Christopher and I flew to the Rivieria Maya with three other couples from his grad school class. We went to an all inclusive resort called Valentin Imperial Maya. It was absolutely beautiful! The resort was huge and had 6 or 7 restaurants open for dinner. There was a beach and several pools with swim up bars. This place was wonderful! The other couples includes Chris and Courtney Shields, Alex and Jessica Volfson and Libby Schleisman and her fiance Jake. Chris, Alex, Jess and Libby were all in my Chris' PT class at MCG. Each couple lives in a different state. We all came from Texas, Georgia, Florida and South Carolina so it was great being able to catch up over a long and relaxing weekend.

Friday, our first full day in Mexico. We spent most of the day on the beach then went to the pool for the afternoon. We all were fried by the end of the day. OOPS!

This was a much needed break for all of us and mine and Chris' last vacation before our baby girl comes. The weather was beautiful, with only two rain showers each lasting maybe ten minutes. This was a great start to our annual DPT class reunions!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAILEY

August 2nd was a big day for our sweet little puppy.... she turned 1 year old yesterday!!! Bailey is by far the best dog and is truly a part of our family. She was our first "child" and I just love her so much! For her birthday she got a new rope and toy, plus some doggie ice cream, which she LOVED. It was a fun treat for her!!

Weekend of Showers

This weekend was so much fun! Friday afternoon my parents, sister and I drove up to Georgia for a baby shower and a wedding shower. We were able to see a lot of our family and friends who still live in the South Atlanta area. It is always so much fun to go back to my hometown and visit everyone, but it is usually hard to see everyone in one visit. Well, this weekend I had most of my family and friends in one place and I had the best time! Karen, a very close family friend, threw me a wonderful baby shower on Saturday at the Glendalough Manor in Tyrone, Ga. Words cannot express just how much Mrs. Karen means to me and how appreciative I am for all that she has done for me over the years. This baby shower in no exception. I feel overwhelmed with love and support from my family and friends as Chris and I prepare for our baby girl's arrival. Thanks to everyone who was able to be there to help celebrate Baby A.

On Sunday, August 1, my mom, sister and I threw Dani a bridal shower. She is engaged to my cousin, Eddie and we couldn't be happier for them.
